“Tales of
passion”
For my part
did not know much about Isabel Allende, all I knew is that it is a national
writer, but when but when I saw the talk of her I saw a passionate person with -for me-good idealisms.
In the
video “tales of passion” she talks about sexism and how this has affected us we
women, I find that this is a big problem to solve because ¿how is it possible
that just being a woman is believed to have less or no rights compared to men?,
we are also people, we have the same capabilities as men, I find that this kind
of thinking is unfortunate because many women have suffered because of this way
of thinking ,they believe us the “weaker sex” and unfortunately this makes
horrible things happen as rape, beatings, murders, among other things. Isabel
talks about this issue, giving significant examples like Rose Mapendo and her
nine children who struggle to keep them alive a woman beaten by her husband
just because she did not come home on time to prepare food, and she wants it to
stop, we can unite, give greater importance in the political world, she wants
to make this world good and agree with it, we can do something to make this
abuse on women stop.
I think
that in Chile this still continues being a topic about which to speak ,in the
workplace women get less salary than men, when she becomes pregnant is fired or
can not work because she has to care for the children. It also happens that only have the "slave" in the house, taking care of the children, to cook, wash clothes, and unfortunately they have pairs who on having seen that they do not realize these things are beaten.
I hope that these atrocities and injustices against the woman stop and let's be a better world as Isabel Allende said.
Hi Franisca :D,
ResponderEliminaryou mentioned a very sad situation about women who are beaten,
these cases are continually in the news and is clearly one of the effects of male chauvinist mentality , so your point is very important
I agree with you in almost all, because since a pair of years ago women have the possibility to do a "post-natal" of approximately six months and so take care of their baby and the enterprise where she works have the legal obligation of not fire her.
ResponderEliminarThe abusse against the women are a topic very important, as the society we are we have as duty stop it, unless in our own social circle.
